Brian S. Nylaan, D.D.S.

Team Leader

Brian S. Nylaan, D.D.S. received his Associate Degree of Arts and Science from the Grand Rapids Community College, Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Michigan Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, West Michigan Dental Society, and American Dental Association. He is also certified as an Invisalign provider.

Continuing education is a cornerstone of our office philosophy.

Our aim is to be thorough, yet provide comfortable care in a positive atmosphere that emphasizes the value of good dental health. The focus of my team is on you. Do not ever hesitate to ask a question or make a request, as you are the reason we are here. We offer a comfortable environment and quality services with a personal touch. Most of our patients consider our staff to be friends because they are treated as such."

"In my spare time I enjoy the great outdoors. Landscaping, boating and waterskiing are my summer passions. I also enjoy a good football game. The Michigan Wolverines and Green Bay Packers are my two favorite teams.  We have seven rescue cats that are our babies and they love to curl up with me and enjoy a good movie, or reading a good book. " ~ Brian


Certified Dental Assistant, Registered Dental Assistant, Office Administrator

 Kris received her Associates Degree in Arts & Science from the Grand Rapids Community College. She received her Registered Dental Assistant certification from the State of Michigan and is a Certified Dental Assistant through the National Board.

"I enjoy meeting all of our patients and assisting them in meeting their goal of obtaining and maintaining optimal dental health. If you ever have any questions regarding your dental health, appointments, obligations or recommended treatment I am more than happy to be of assistance."

"When not in the office I enjoy spending time in our garden, reading a book, hanging out with our cats, beading or creating some form of jewelry.I have found I love photography and have some of my photos hanging in my office."

"We spend a lot of time in the summer boating or skiing in Spring Lake and enjoying the natural beauty that Michigan has to offer." ~ Kris 


Administrative Assistant

Lori received her Associates degree in Arts & Science from the Grand Rapids Community College. She received her certificate of Dental Assisting through Olympia Career training. Lori is joining our front desk team as an Administrative Assistant and Hygiene Coordinator. 

"I am a people person and really enjoy working in the dental field. It gives me the opportunity to meet people, make them smile, and help patients to feel welcome and comfortable." 

 "During my free time I like cooking, traveling, DIY projects and spending time with family and friends, In the warmer months I love being outside working in the yard and participating in outdoor activities." ~ Lori


Administrative Assistant

Becky received her Dental Assisting & Dental Reception training from Grand Rapids Educational Center. Her Business Management Major was received from Davenport University. Becky is joining our front desk team as an Administrative Assistant and treatment coordinator.

"I am excited to return to general dentistry. There are so many new and exciting changes over the years." 

"I enjoy traveling with my husband, Bob, going to concerts and shows, hanging out with our fur babies, Maggie and Luka and going to our cottage for weekend adventures."

Registered Dental Hygienist

Sarah  received her Associates Degree in Applied Science from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She received her Nitrous Oxide Sedation license, Anesthesia certification and her RDH license in the State of Michigan.

"I became a dental hygienist because I am given the opportunity everyday to work with people on improving their smile. One of the first things I notice about someone is their smile and their teeth. I have always had a fascination with teeth. Educating patients about oral health and providing different home care methods to help maintain a healthy smile is what makes me believe I am making a positive impact in the community. I love establishing relationships with patients and being able to measure their progress and improvements through regular visits."

"Outside of the office, I love to spend time at home with my husband and my pets. I have two dogs, a cat, and a tortoise. I have a passion for animals. I spend lots of time with my family and friends. I enjoy traveling and exploring new places." ~ Sarah


Registered Dental Hygienist

Cindy received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Kellogg Community College. She received her Nitrous Oxide Sedation License, Anesthesia Certification and her Registered Dental Hygiene License in the State of Michigan. 

"I enjoy Dentistry because it enables me to help others maintain or create a smile that they can be confident in sharing.It also gives me the opportunity to share information regarding my patient’s oral health and how it relates to their general health. But most importantly, it allows me to connect with people on a one on one basis. My patients enrich my life and hopefully I am able to enrich theirs."

 "When I am not working I enjoy spending time on our lake,boating, fishing and enjoying the sunshine. I love to travel, build and create things, sew, and spend time with family and friends. Shauna received her Associates degree in Arts & Science from the Grand Rapids Community College. She has received her Nitrous Oxide Sedation license, Anesthesia certification, and is certified as a Registered Dental Hygienist through the State of Michigan.

"I love to educate my patients and build relationships, so you can understand the need for your continuing care and be more comfortable during each visit."

"Outside of dental hygiene, music is a huge passion of mine. Nothing is more relaxing than sitting at a piano playing and  singing a song. My husband, Kyle and I have been married for five years, and he is into music as well. It is something we both love to do together. I also love to snuggle up with my dog and cat and read a great book. Kyle and I are proud parents of baby girl Hayden " 

I will be transitioning out of dental hygiene for the time being and moving into the music ministry at my church. This decision has not been easy to make, but I definitely feel the call to move in this new direction. I will remain close with Dr. Brian and my team mates as everyone is like one big family !  ~ Shauna

Kaitie received her Associates degree in Arts & Science from the Grand Rapids Community College. She is certified as a Registered Dental Assistant with the State of Michigan.

Being able to get to know my patients is something I love having the opportunity to do! My priority is making sure that you are relaxed and as comfortable as possible throughout your dental visit. "

"When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter Raelynn and son Paxton. We love being outside playing yard games, swimming, having bonfires in the summer. I love being able to pass the winter months skiing at different places in Michigan." ~~Kaitie


Dental Assistant

Heidi graduated in 2004 with National Honors receiving her diploma in Dental Assisting. She received her Radiation certification through the State of Michigan. Heidi has been dental assisting for more than ten years. She loves her career and we love her enthusiasm for the field of dentistry.

"My passion for dentistry shows from the first time I meet a patient and continues throughout their care. I strive for patient care and love helping people have a healthy smile they love."

"When I’m not working my dream job, I enjoy spending time with my husband of over 20 years and our two daughters Haylee and Olivia. During my free time I am a proud Cheer Director for Greenville Schools Rocket Program. As a family we enjoy camping, boating anything outdoors and our biggest passion is Jeep-in any trails or sand dunes." ~ Heidi
