Trees for Goats
2020 was a year of strange things, so we decided to try something new.... Trees for Goats ! Yes, Christmas trees for goats.
The event was a success, so we have continued collecting. 2020 brought 6 trailer loads of trees for Heidi's goats. (she also shared with the neighbors).
The 2021 season brought 10 loads of trees for goats !!!! We want to thank Family Farm and Home & Lowes for donating and, of course, all of you for bringing your trees. The goats love the trees and the trees help to keep them healthy.
Thank you to everyone that donated their Christmas trees from the 2022 season. We collected 3 loads for farms in the Cedar Springs, Sparta and Greenville area and 1 very full load was delivered to Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park.
Here are the details:
- Our dental office collects Natural Christmas trees. (they must have all the garland, ribbons, hooks and ornaments removed)
- We will have a trailer in our office parking lot to collect the trees and they are used to feed goats.
Yes, goats eat Christmas trees. Pine Christmas trees are a great source of vitamins and the goats love to eat them. So why take your tree to the landfill when you can put it to good use.
